About Me

This is a blog for my 12 year old little man that is dealing with HLHS (hypoplastic left heart syndrome)and has had all 3 surgeries Glenn, Fontan, and Norwood, a pacemaker a few years later, 2 types of epilepsy (Rolandic and Petit Mal), and has suffered a stroke. Just wanted to create him a blog so that he can communicate as will I and his father, on his life and things he does throughout his life from the serious to the silly.

Brady's 2nd surgery at 6 months old in the year 2000

Look how small I was compared to that bed! You can barely see me! Glad the doctors kept me asleep most of the time because all these machines were really noisy and even to my friends and family it was scary, so you can just imagine what I would have thought if I had been awake...

These sensors on my head are because after the doctors took me off the bypass machine, an air bubble got into my blood and it made me have a lot of seizures! After those finally stopped that day, I ended up with a stroke...it wasn't a good day for my parents or me. But once again, God told me to stay put right where I was, I wasn't ready yet even though the doctors thought I was.

Awwww, see here is my daddy! He is giving me sugar! Those red things on my hands were to prevent me from pulling the tubes and wires out of me when I would wake up a little.

Finally free from most of the wires and tubes, stitches out of chest! Wooohoo I needed to stretch! haha

By the way, this is a picture of my helicopter. I was 3 days old when it flew all the way from Arkansas Childrens Hospital in Little Rock Arkansas to Conway Arkansas to get me because the doctors didn't think I would survive the drive there by ambulance. Mom and dad were sure scared that day...

These are the doors leading to the Cardiology, Neurology, and Heart Station, also the quick way to get up to my hospital room. This was the most painful walk my friends and family made so many times. We could drive, park, and get to the heart floor in our sleep! I think my parents said they should have permanent parking places here since we were here so often. I think maybe they are right! hahahaha

Yes, I still have all these animals. I got so much cool stuff while I was there! It is a great hospital! They helped save my life and helped my parents cope with my special problems.

Dad caught mom eating while she was feeding me hahahaha! What are those mom? milk duds? hahaha
